WELCOME TO OINK MOO CLUCK FARMS.

Small-scale farming is deeply rooted within our family's past, and it is why we feel such a bond to the soil under our feet; because our family heritage starts with this soil. Our mother’s  parents were Ohio dairy farmers while our father’s family farmed  a 100-acre block in Pierpont, Ohio, after immigrating from the Ukraine. Our parents, Tim and Linda, met at 4-H camp and during Summer break from college became reacquainted working at the local grocery together. They soon married and  went on to run a meat processing plant and farm until our mother’s passing in 1988.

Todd decided city life was not for him and returned to Ashtabula County where he reinvigorated the family butcher shop and started making plans to preserve the farm in 1998. Today, Todd raises hogs, beef, and chickens and grows non-GMO corn and soybeans, all while running the family butcher shop. He enlists several family friends that help on the day to day operations and utilize their own second and third generation farms for production. Tricia, always has her non traditional pet bovines - Daisy, Linny and Penny - on her farm. She also cares for her chickens and lambs to round out the OMC offerings.

From these thickened roots emerges our innate philosophy: to nurture the well being of our family, livestock and community. This way of thinking underpins our approach to life through the lens of agriculture. It’s why Tricia allows orphaned calves into the backseat of her Buick, why we provide protein offerings to community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs, work with other like-minded local farmers, and, ultimately, it is why we love what we do. We believe all of this is why we have been successfully family-owned and operated since introducing our product at the Worthington Farmers Market in 2005.

Since then, our philosophy has spread to eight area farmers markets and allowed us to incorporate home delivery to our business model. Healthy, happy animals and a high-quality product are central to our success, which is why we have chosen to vertically integrate our business. This means that we have ethical and financial control over every step of the farm’s supply chain. Treating our animals with respect translates directly to a high quality product, which is why we raise our stock on a diet of natural grains and grasses and without the aid of hormones and antibiotics. We continue to control our ethical standards with our in-house butchering process to ensure every animal is treated humanely every step of the way. All of our Ohio-proud products are flash-frozen to preserve freshness, so when you meet us at a farmers market or have our product delivered directly to your door, you’ll taste the difference.
